Wesleyan Parents Club

There are many opportunities for you to be involved! We appreciate our parent volunteers and would encourage all families to participate in our events. Visit our web pages listed below to find an opportunity to share your talents and get involved today!
All parents of Wesleyan students are automatically members! We are a Georgia non-profit corporation and our primary goal is fostering connections between our parents, faculty, staff and students. Our annual events encourage involvement, provide focused fellowship, help build our community and embrace our new Wesleyan families.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Wesleyan Blood Drive – January 20, 2017

Each school year, the Wesleyan Parents Club sponsors a blood drive with assistance from the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross provides nurses and supplies for the day. Faculty, staff, parents and students over 16 years of age are encouraged to participate if they meet the American Red Cross donation requirements.

The Parents Club provides volunteer support by organizing the registration for the drive, checking in the donors, providing snacks and beverages for donors, and insuring that the day runs smoothly. The Parents Club volunteers also provide support, when needed, to the American Red Cross staff.

Christmas Ornaments

2016 ornament.jpg

The Wesleyan Parents Club presents the 19th annual 2016 Wesleyan Christmas ornament, designed by Emily Willis.
Emily’s design beautifully displays Philippians 2:7 – "He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant being made in human likeness."

These elegant ornaments are unique collectors’ items and capture the true essence of the Christmas season. They make a wonderful gift, as well as a treasured keepsake for your own collection. Each ornament is beveled optic crystal that is highly polished, pure and colorless, with excellent clarity and sparkle. Your ornament will be housed in a designer gift box for safe handling and storage.

The 2016 Wesleyan Christmas ornaments are in limited supply so we urge you to order today to reserve your ornament. Delivery will be no later than mid-November. In addition to the current year, a limited number of ornaments are available for prior years back to 1998.

What a wonderful way to commemorate each year that a child attends Wesleyan! The ornaments also make terrific gifts for family, friends, and teachers. Each ornament comes packaged in a box for safe handling and holiday storage.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day

Grandparents and Special Friends Day – April 13, 2017

Each school year, the Wesleyan Parents Club, in partnership with the Development Office, sponsors Grandparents and Special Friends Day during which the lower school opens its doors to grandparents and special friends of students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade.

With the changes to the 2016-2017 school calendar, this special day will have a new date for the upcoming school year. Please save the date for the 2016-2017 Grandparents and Special Friends Day, which will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2017. This is a scheduled half day for all students. Grandparents and special friends will have the opportunity to visit their student's classroom, meet their teachers, and enjoy a special time of fellowship with their students as they attend a chapel service together.

The Wesleyan Parents Club provides important assistance in hosting this event by preparing and sending invitations, organizing the day's activities, greeting guests, and helping to guide the visitors around the campus.

The mission of the JOY Committee is to recognize, nurture, and care for members of the Wesleyan family in times of birth, illness, death, and celebration. Our concerns can be shown through prayer, cards, meals, assistance with carpool, etc.

JOY Committee Chairs often receive emails from teachers, grade chairs, and members of our Wesleyan family regarding another family's needs. Volunteers are asked to check in with these families to determine how JOY can best serve them.

Meal Preparation for Wesleyan Families

To schedule a meal for one of our families, please utilize our JOY Calendar link.

Once in the calendar, enter the calendar ID and Security code in the login box, then fill in the information requested. Click on the date of your choice, fill in the information specifying which family you will be preparing for. Click submit to publish your information. All calendar coordination will be streamlined through the committee chair.

Please remember these families in your prayers at this time, and thank you for your loving hearts.

Moms in Prayer

Moms in Prayer – Mondays at 8:10am

The Wesleyan chapter of Moms in Prayer International (formerly Moms In Touch) is a group of mothers actively praying for our children and our school.

We meet every Monday at 8:10AM in Shropshire Commons Room in Wesley Hall for about one hour to pray. We welcome any Wesleyan mom, even if you can only attend sporadically.

"Moms in Prayer has really shown me the hearts of the Wesleyan mothers and how much they love their children and this school. We’ve seen God answer prayer after prayer, and it is so encouraging! It is the BEST way I can start my week."
