  • 2017-2018 Calendar Highlights

    December 12, 2016

There are several priorities that influence the creation of the school calendar, including: providing regular breaks for families throughout the school year to create small pockets of rest and margin, meeting accreditation standards for the number of school days, and attempting to balance the two semesters. Additionally, we hope to maintain the traditions of our calendar, including a full week off for Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas, a full week plus a travel day for spring break, and our observation of Good Friday and the Monday following Easter. Finally, everyone seems to have a brighter outlook on the year when our last day of school falls before Memorial Day weekend. We strive to send this to you each year in the month of December so you can begin long-range planning for your family, which we hope is helpful to you. Thank you for your continued support of the school and for all you do to help us change the lives of children each day. It is an honor and a privilege to serve in this community. • Fine Arts Member of the Week - Noah Young

    December 12, 2016

Noah plays percussion in the symphonic band, and he is the only senior. He leads the class so well. In addition, he advocated to have a winter drum line again this year and did a great job recruiting! It is the largest group we’ve ever had. Noah also communicates well with the members of winter drum line; he not only holds them accountable, but works with them one-on-one. Noah’s leadership is greatly appreciated!
